Services

Our program is designed to develop your financial decision-making skills. All of your expenditures are an investment in your future. We want you to invest in products, services, and experiences that add value to your life instead of engaging in mindless shopping, of which most of us are a little guilty. We teach practical skills to help modify consumer behavior while encouraging consumer engagement.

The Parity Method goes a step beyond financial literacy programs because it helps you learn how to replace your existing financial habits by changing your behavior.

More often than not, K-12 education doesn’t require extensive consumer education, which means students are sent to college without a basic understanding of important life skills. In fact, many universities still don’t have consumer education programs to help their students become financially successful.

We offer three unique services to help your students thrive.

Individual

This one-on-one program will prepare your student for every day personal finances. We will create customized lessons according to your student’s learning style and age. After this course, your student will understand the following:

  • Checking and Savings Accounts
  • Credit: Installment vs. Revolving
  • Student Loans and/or Consumer Loans
  • Needs vs. Wants
  • Budgets

High School

Although some districts require microeconomics or personal finance courses, students are sometimes unable to apply the skills they are taught. This program consists of a seminar in which students are given the opportunity to simulate financial purchases by negotiating prices and working with a budget. This seminar will help your student population understand the following:

  • Checking and Savings Accounts
  • Credit: Installment vs. Revolving
  • Student Loans and/or Consumer Loans
  • Needs vs. Wants
  • Budgets
  • Small Group Discussions on Microeconomics
  • Negotiation Simulation
  • Alternative College Funding

Universities

This interactive program, for professors and students, is made up of a training session and a seminar. We teach professors the necessary skills to weave consumer education into their every day curriculum, and how to bridge the generational gap between them and their students. We provide easy solutions in order to ensure professors are not burdened with extra work. Students are primed for success throughout our in-depth seminar, where they have an opportunity to simulate large purchases and negotiate contract terms. In this program, students and professors will explore and analyze the following:

  • Checking and Savings Accounts
  • Credit: Installment vs. Revolving
  • Student Loans and/or Consumer Loans
  • Needs vs. Wants
  • Budgets
  • Small Group Discussions on Microeconomics
  • Negotiation Simulation
  • Alternative College Funding
  • Money Talk: Breaking the Taboo
  • Consumer Personality Test

10% of your service fee will go towards our Parity Grant, which is a grant program available to students enrolled in a credited two or four year university or a trade school. It is not need or merit based.
